The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 97/2025 inviting IT directors and information security risk officers to attend a remote workshop on technology risks. The three-session event, scheduled for September 8-10, 2025, covers IT governance, outsourcing and cloud computing risks, and the use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector. Subject: Invitation to Attend Specialized Workshops on Technology Risks

As part of the Palestine Monetary Authority's efforts to enhance the financial sector's readiness to face cyber threats, and to contribute to building capacities, increasing attention, and raising awareness among employees and decision-makers in banks regarding important topics, including cybersecurity, cloud computing, and information technology risks, and to review the most important challenges facing the financial and banking sector specifically and the mechanisms and procedures that must be taken into consideration to mitigate these risks, we are pleased to invite your IT directors, information security risk officers, and other suitable specialists to attend a "remote" workshop. This workshop will be presented by a specialized expert in collaboration with the World Bank during the period (September 8-10, 2025) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Session one: IT governance and related IT management processes.
  • Session two: Outsourcing and Cloud computing risk.
  • Session three: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the financial sector, including potential benefits and risks, and AI for fraud detection and prevention. The session will also address consumer protection and user awareness.
