Circular No. 51 / 2025: Eid al-Adha Holiday

The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 51 / 2025 to all banks operating in Palestine, mandating a holiday closure for Eid al-Adha from the morning of Thursday, June 5, 2025, through the evening of Monday, June 9, 2025. Banks are required to resume official operations on the morning of Tuesday, June 10, 2025. This directive is issued pursuant to Article 73 of the Banks Law No. 9 of 2010 and in reference to a decision by the Council of Ministers.

Subject: The Blessed Eid al-Adha Holiday

Based on the provisions of Article No. (73) of the Banks Law No. 9 of 2010, and in reference to the decision of the esteemed Council of Ministers, the Blessed Eid al-Adha holiday for banks operating in Palestine shall be from the morning of Thursday, June 05, 2025, until the evening of Monday, June 09, 2025, with banks resuming their official duties starting from the morning of Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

On this blessed occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all employees in the banking sector, and we ask God to return it to our Palestinian people with their dreams fulfilled in establishing the independent Palestinian state with its capital, Jerusalem.
