Instruction (Archive) No. 4/2019
The Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 4/2019 to amend Instruction No. 15/2014 regarding decentralized deposits and withdrawals of euro banknotes and coins. This regulation applies to credit institutions and payment institutions, establishing requirements for cash handling and information provision. The instruction entered into force on February 25, 2019, and was subsequently revoked by Instruction No. 8/2025 on June 4, 2025.
