Prime Minister's Decision No. 883 of 2023
The Egyptian Prime Minister issued Decision No. 883 of 2023 to amend the Egyptian Accounting Standards by replacing the introductory appendix and updating Standards Nos. 10, 23, 34, and 35 with newly attached versions. The decree introduces a new Standard No. 50 on Insurance Contracts while simultaneously repealing the previous Standard No. 37 on the same subject. This regulation takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette, aligning national accounting frameworks with updated financial reporting requirements.
