The Bank of Zambia mandates all commercial banks to submit standardized data on fees for personal current accounts and general services to address public complaints regarding high charges. Banks must deliver these submissions to the Bank Supervision Department by the end of January and July each year, covering charges effective as of December 31 and June 30. The regulator will subsequently publish the collected fee information in the national press, enabling consumers and market participants to compare costs and make informed banking decisions.
