Circular No. 20/2025: Official Holiday for the Prophet's Birthday
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 20/2025 to designate Thursday, September 4, 2025, as an official holiday for all specialized lending institutions in Palestine in observance of the Prophet's Birthday. This directive is issued pursuant to Article 22 of Decision No. 132 of 2011 and aligns with the approved Cabinet resolution. The Governor also extended holiday greetings to all employees in the sector.

Subject: The Prophet's Birthday
Based on the provisions of Article No. (22) of Decision No. (132) of 2011 concerning the licensing and supervision system for specialized lending institutions and its amendments, and in reference to the esteemed Cabinet decision, it has been decided to declare Thursday, September 4, 2025, as an official holiday in observance of the Prophet's Birthday.
On this blessed occasion, I extend my congratulations to all employees of the lending institutions, and we ask God to return this occasion to our Palestinian people having achieved their aspiration for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
