Decision on Reporting to the National Bank of Serbia on the Stock of Household Dinar Savings Deposits with Banks

The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia issued this Decision to establish reporting requirements for banks regarding household dinar savings deposits. Banks are mandated to submit monthly data on the DŠ Form, detailing deposit counts and account balances as of the last calendar day of each month, via electronic submission to the NBS Information and Communications Technology Department. The regulation entered into force eight days after its publication in the RS Official Gazette, with the initial report due by 26 December 2016.

RS Official Gazette, Nos 98/2016, 114/2017 and 21/2019 Pursuant to Article 18, paragraph 1, item 3 and Article 68 of the Law on the National Bank of Serbia (RS Official Gazette, Nos 72/2003, 55/2004, 85/2005 – other law, 44/2010, 76/2012, 106/2012, 14/2015 and 40/2015 – CC decision), the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia hereby issues the following DECISION ON REPORTING TO THE NATIONAL BANK OF SERBIA ON THE STOCK OF HOUSEHOLD DINAR SAVINGS DEPOSITS WITH BANKS

  1. This Decision prescribes reporting requirements for banks with respect to data and the manner of their submission to the National Bank of Serbia for the purpose of monitoring household dinar savings deposits with banks.
  2. For the purpose of Section 1 hereof, banks shall submit the data on a DŠ Form (Schedule 1, which is enclosed with this Decision and is integral to it) – in a manner set out in this Decision.
  3. Columns 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 of the DŠ Form shall contain the number of dinar savings deposits, and columns 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 – balance entries in accounts listed in column 1 of the Form which are prescribed by the decision regulating the Chart of Accounts and contents of accounts in the Chart of Accounts for banks, together with codes defined in the decision regulating the compiling, processing and delivery of information on the balance and composition of accounts in the Chart of Accounts.
  4. Banks shall disclose data in the DŠ Form as at the last calendar day of the month. For the purpose of paragraph 1 of this Section, banks shall submit monthly closing entries to the National Bank of Serbia not later than the deadline for submitting the reports as defined in the decision regulating the compiling, processing and delivery of information on the balance and composition of accounts in the Chart of Accounts.
  5. Data in the DŠ Form shall be submitted to the National Bank of Serbia – Information and Communications Technology Department in electronic form, in accordance with the instructions on the preparation and electronic submission of data to the National Bank of Serbia.

2 6. For the purposes of this Decision, banks shall submit the first report with data on the DŠ Form by 26 December 2016, showing ending account balance as at 30 November 2016. 7.
