Decree No. 2017-154 of March 2, 2017 Appointing Non-Executive Administrators of Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara
Issued by the President of Madagascar acting in Council of Ministers, Decree No. 2017-154 appoints eight non-executive administrators to Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara, designating five for a five-year term and three for a three-year term according to their respective affiliations with the Presidency, Senate, and National Assembly. The decree explicitly repeals all prior conflicting provisions, particularly Decree No. 2013-422, and charges the Minister of Finance and Budget together with the Bank’s Governor to enforce these appointments. THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
- Having regard to the Constitution;
- Having regard to Law No. 2016-004 of July 29, 2016, supplemented by Law No. 2016-057 of February 2, 2017 establishing the Statutes of Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara;
- Having regard to Decree No. 2016-250 of April 10, 2016 appointing the Prime Minister, Head of Government;
- Having regard to Decree No. 2016-265 of April 15, 2016, amended and supplemented by Decrees No. 2016-460 of May 11, 2016, No. 2016-1147 of August 22, 2016 and No. 2017-148 of March 2, 2017 appointing members of the Government;

Article 1: The following are appointed as Non-Executive Administrators of Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara for a term of five (5) years

Article 2: The following are appointed as Non-Executive Administrators of Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara for a term of three (3) years

Article 3: All prior provisions contrary to this Decree are and remain repealed, notably those of Decree No. 2013-422 of June 12, 2013 appointing the Administrators of the Central Bank of Madagascar.
Article 4: The Minister of Finance and Budget as well as the Governor of Banky Foiben'i Madagasikara are charged with the execution of this Decree.
Article 5: Due to urgency, and in accordance with Articles 4 and 6(2) of Ordinance No. 62-041 of September 19, 1962 on general provisions of domestic and private international law, this Decree enters into force immediately upon publication by radio or television broadcast, independently of its insertion in the Official Journal of the Republic.
