The Bank of Albania’s Supervisory Council issued Regulation 7/2022 to create a unified public register for payment institutions, electronic money institutions, account information service providers, and their agents. The rule requires the Bank to record detailed entity data—including names, unique business identification numbers, headquarters addresses, paid-in capital, and authorized administrators—and enforces strict 15-day to three-month deadlines for initial registration, data updates, and deregistration notifications. The Supervision Department will continuously maintain and publish this updated register on the Bank’s official website to guarantee transparent regulatory oversight.
