General guidelines for auditors appointed by Finansinspektionen (FFFS 2004:10)

Finansinspektionen issued general guidelines for auditors appointed by the regulator, which were amended by FFFS 2020:17 to cease applying to mutual benefit societies. The amendments require auditors of life insurance companies to specifically investigate transactions occurring between the insurer and other companies within the same group. These regulatory changes entered into force on 1 November 2020 alongside corrections to various legislative references.

Summary
