Capital Markets Authority Launches 30-Year Anniversary Celebrations
The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Uganda has launched a year-long programme of activities to mark its 30th anniversary, centered on the theme "Reimagining Uganda’s Capital Markets For a Sustainable Future." The Authority highlighted key achievements as of December 2025, including UGX 2.3 trillion raised through equity markets and the supervision of a vibrant ecosystem of licensed participants. The celebrations will culminate in a flagship event on October 8, 2026, alongside initiatives focused on investor education, regulatory innovation, and regional cooperation to support Uganda's economic development goals.
