Circular to Banks No. 2022-10 of October 31, 2022

The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia issued Circular No. 2022-10 to amend banking conditions by repealing and replacing the first paragraph of Article 36 of Circular No. 91-22, which sets the savings remuneration rate at an annual 6.25%. This regulatory update takes effect on November 1, 2022, following the Board of Directors' deliberations and compliance committee's opinion. Tunis, October 31, 2022 CIRCULAR TO BANKS NO. 2022-10 Subject: Regulation of banking conditions. The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Having regard to Law No. 2016-35 of April 25, 2016, establishing the status of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Having regard to Law No. 2016-48 of July 11, 2016, on banks and financial institutions, Having regard to Circular to Banks No. 86-42 of December 1, 1986, on the regulation of banking conditions, as amended by subsequent texts and notably its Article 8, Having regard to Circular to Banks No. 91-22 of December 17, 1991, on the regulation of banking conditions, as amended and supplemented by subsequent texts and notably its Article 36, Having regard to the deliberations of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Tunisia dated October 5, 2022, Having regard to the opinion of the Compliance Control Committee No. 2022-10 of October 25, 2022, as provided for in Article 42 of Law No. 2016-35 of April 25, 2016 establishing the status of the Central Bank of Tunisia. Decides: Article 1 - The provisions of the first paragraph of Article 36 of the aforementioned Circular No. 91-22 of December 17, 1991 are repealed and replaced as follows:
