Central Banks of Azerbaijan and Hungary sign Cooperation Memorandum

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of Hungary on June 5, 2026, during the second Council of Central Banks of the Organization of Turkic States meeting in Baku. The agreement establishes institutional and legal frameworks to deepen bilateral cooperation across monetary policy, banking supervision, capital markets, insurance, payment systems, and financial technologies. It mandates regular meetings, seminars, training programs, and business trips to facilitate knowledge exchange and advance the development of both nations' financial sectors.

Press Releases A - A + Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Central Bank of Hungary Signed June 5, 2026: As part of the second meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of Member Countries of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Central Bank of Hungary was signed. The Memorandum will serve to strengthen the institutional and legal foundations of cooperation between the two institutions, further expand mutual relations, and promote the exchange of advanced practices and knowledge in the field of central banking. Within the framework of the Memorandum, cooperation will be deepened in areas such as monetary policy, banking supervision, capital markets, insurance sector, payment systems, financial technologies, and other areas of mutual interest. To this end, the organization of meetings, seminars, experience exchanges, training programs, and business trips is envisaged.
