Finalised Guidance: Cancellations and refunds: Helping consumers with rights and routes to refunds

The regulator has extended its temporary guidance to assist insurance, credit, and debit card providers in handling consumer refund claims for pandemic-related cancellations. This extension ensures firms minimize inconvenience to consumers by clarifying their rights and available routes to refunds, including claims against providers or insurers. The guidance takes effect on 2 April 2021 and remains in place during exceptional circumstances arising from Covid-19 until varied or revoked.
