Circular No. 14 of 2020 Exemption from GOP Revocation Policy for Fiduciary Services Sector

The Financial Services Authority of Seychelles grants an exemption from the General Occupation Permit revocation policy for fiduciary services licensees. The directive permits existing Directors, Corporate Administrators, and Compliance Officers currently abroad to return with valid permits upon licensees submitting their details, flight information, and certification for regulatory assessment. Successful applicants receive an approval letter that serves as entry documentation at immigration, supported by a coordinated information-sharing arrangement between the FSA and the Department of Immigration and Civil Status.

Circular No. 14 of 2020 Date: 22nd October, 2020 Exemption from the GOP Revocation Policy for the Fiduciary Services Sector The Financial Services Authority (FSA) would like to inform all licensees licensed under the International Corporate Services Providers Act that the Department of Immigration and Civil Status(DICS) have granted exemption from the GOP Revocation Policy announcement made on 31st July, 2020 for exsiitng GOP holders in the Fiduciary Services Sector, currently outside of Seychelles, to be allowed to return to Seychelles under their current GOP. This exemption is applicable for only the following categories of employees:  Directors  Corporate Administrators  Compliance Officers Licensees are required to submit to the FSA, the following details of their employees with existing GOP who are returning to the country:  Name and surname of the employee  Passport number  GOP cerftificate  Flight details The FSA will conduct an assessment on the merit of the application submitted. In the event that same is successful, a letter of approval shall be issued for the return of the employee. This letter of approval will also be used at the point of entryas the necessary documented proof along with the existing GOP to be presented at the Immigration Counter upon arrival of the employee in Seychelles . The FSA and DICS have established an internal arrangement for sharing of information to facilitate entry of employees at the airport. Please note also that if a request is not successful the licensee shall be informed accordingly. Please note that the exemption is only applicable to exisiting employees currently based outside of Seychelles, holding a valid GOP and returning to Seychelles.
