Deferment of Compliance with Banking and Financial Services Corporate Governance Directives, Directive 20.5

The Bank of Zambia has deferred implementation of Directive 20.5 for the financial year ending December 31, 2017, to allow external auditors time to receive clear terms of reference and prescribed report formats. This deferment addresses auditor requests for consistency when assessing corporate governance compliance across financial service providers. The Bank will announce the new implementation date once its consultative process and necessary guidance are finalized.
