09-46236403 09-46236418 BSD/DIR/GEN/CIR/04/016 April 30, 2010 LETTER TO ALL BANKS RE: MONTHLY SUBMISSION OF CREDIT PORTFOLIO CLASSIFICATION BY BANKS In furtherance of ongoing efforts at enhancing disclosures and internal credit risk portfolio classification in the Nigerian banking sector, banks are henceforth advised to adopt the modified International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC) in categorizing their credit exposures. Consequently, all banks are hereby requested to submit monthly information on their outstanding loans and advances in line with the modified version of the ISIC as per the attached format (Appendices 110).

In this regard, banks are required to adjust their credit portfolio classification for the months of January, February and March 2010 to reflect the new format and forward same electronically to the email addresses below:
