CIRCULAR 05 RELATING TO THE MANDATORY RESERVE RATE
The Central Bank of the Comores issued Circular No. 05-2023 to establish the mandatory reserve rate for financial institutions receiving public funds at 12.5% of the calculation base. This regulation, effective from November 20, 2023, supersedes all prior contradictory provisions and enters into force upon signature and publication. The directive was adopted following a resolution by the Board of Directors on October 24, 2023, and signed by Governor Dr. Younoussa Imani.
