Bank of Zambia Circular 19/2002: Notice of Stolen Foreign Currencies from Bank of Tanzania

The Bank of Zambia issued Circular 19/2002 to alert commercial banks about stolen US dollars and travelers cheques following an armed robbery at CRDB Bank in Tanzania on November 15, 2002. ## NOTICE OF STOLEN FOREIGN CURRENCIES FROM BANK OF TANZANIA

We have received notice from Bank of Tanzania concerning an armed robbery at CRDB Bank on the 15th November 2002. The robbers escaped with US Dollars and Euros as per details below:

### (i) NOTES:

- USD 200,000 CB17820001C- CB17822000C
- USD 800,000 CB12776001C- CB12784000C

### (ii) TRAVELLERS CHEQUES:

The serial numbers of Travelers Cheques are as follows:

1. **GBP – AMERICAN EXPRESS:**
   a) 100’s – G BP 6700  
      From No. 246,498,513 to 246,498,579
   b) 50’s – GBP 200  
      From No. 692,799,716 to 692,799,719
