The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 103 (2010) to implement a new fee structure for credit information system inquiries, effective July 5, 2010. The directive mandates a $0.65 charge per successful inquiry for all lending institutions, alongside a $300 monthly subscription fee for those conducting fewer than 350 inquiries monthly. All institutions must settle outstanding fees by the end of September 2010 into a designated central bank account.

Subject: Credit Inquiry Fees
Further to our Circular No. (2010/70) dated July 4, 2010, regarding the development of the credit information system, and to Item Four of said Circular specifying inquiry operation fees at $1.90, and based on the recent decision of the Palestine Monetary Authority Board of Directors, we hereby outline below the fee policy approved by the Board, to be implemented effective July 5, 2010, upon the launch of the
Credit Classification System:
A deduction of $0.65 for each successful inquiry, regardless of the total number of successful inquiries conducted during the month.
A deduction of $300 from any institution whose number of successful inquiries falls below 350 per month; this amount shall serve as a monthly subscription fee for the institution in exchange for using the credit information system.
Accordingly, during the coming period, lending institutions will be required to settle their outstanding fees by the end of September 2010 for deposit into a special account with the Palestine Monetary Authority.
