Derivatives Act (No. 2) B.E. 2551 (2008)

The King of Thailand enacted this amendment to the Derivatives Act B.E. 2546 to establish the Capital Market Supervisory Board as the primary regulatory authority for derivatives. The legislation transfers supervisory functions from the Securities and Exchange Commission to the new Board, with the SEC acting in an interim capacity until appointments are made. It also updates statutory definitions and ensures that existing regulations issued by the SEC remain in force until replaced by new directives under the amended framework.
