Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as legal tender; b. Whereas to optimalize the function of element on currency in the 50.000 (fifty thousand) rupiah denomination as a legal tender in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the design of Rupiah currency especially for the signing in notes, the placement of year of issuance or year emission, and printing year; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, it is necessary to amend Bank Indonesia Regulation concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 50.000 (Fifty Thousand) Rupiah Denomination; In view of : 1. Watermark comprising the image of Hero of the Independence Struggle I Gusti Ngurah Rai and electrotype comprising the BI logo and a Balinese ornament; f. Woven security thread bearing the repeated inscription of “BI50000”, complete or partially cut, and changing color from magenta to green when viewed from different angles. 2. Between Article 5 and Article 6 was inserted 1 (one) Article, namely Article 5A as follows. Article 5 A The Banknotes 50.000 (fifty thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank Indonesia before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation. Article II This Bank Indonesia Regulation shall come into force on the date of its enactment.
