Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 19/2024 to determine the calculation and periodic disclosure of maximum Annual Total Cost of Credit (TAEG) limits for consumer credit contracts. This regulation revokes Instruction No. 14/2013 and establishes behavioral supervision standards for credit institutions and financial companies. The instruction entered into force on April 1, 2025, to ensure transparency in consumer credit pricing.
