The Minister responsible for Finance in Belize issued this Order to amend the Limited Liability Partnerships (Registration and Fees) Order, 2000. The amendment replaces the reference to the Solicitor General with the Registrar of Companies and Corporate Affairs, who is now mandated to design and manage the seal for authenticating limited liability partnership registration documents. This Order came into force on August 17, 2020.

ORDER made by the Minister responsible for Finance in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 17, 36, 37 & 46 of the Limited Liability Partnerships Act, Chapter 258 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011 (as amended by Act No. 17 of 2020) and all other powers thereunto him enabling.

LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIPS (REGISTRATION AND FEES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 2020,
and shall be read and construed as one with the Limited S. I. No. 2 of Liability Partnerships (Registration and Fees) Order, 2000 2000. which is hereinafter referred to as the principal Order.
(a) in paragraph (1), by deleting the words “Solicitor General” and substituting the words “Registrar of Companies and Corporate Affairs appointed pursuant to section 221(1) of the Companies Act, Chapter 250 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011.”; and

(b) by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following as new paragraph (2) –
"(2) The Registrar shall design, develop, prepare and manage the seal to be used by the Registrar in the authentication of documents required for or in connection with the registration of limited liability partnerships and other purposes under the Act.".
