PSD-2 Circular No. 02: Uninterrupted Service of ATM, POS, QR Code, Internet Banking, Online e-Payment Gateway & MFS During Eid-ul-Adha Celebration
Bangladesh Bank’s Payment Systems Department issued Circular No. 02 to mandate uninterrupted operational continuity for ATM, POS, QR code, internet banking, online e-payment gateways, and mobile financial services throughout the Eid-ul-Adha holiday period. Financial institutions must maintain full service availability across all specified digital payment channels while strictly enforcing security protocols, including mandatory Two-Factor Authentication for card-not-present transactions. The directive requires payment service providers to proactively manage system capacity, immediately resolve technical disruptions, and guarantee seamless customer access to essential financial services during the celebration.
