CSSF Regulation No 22-04 of 20 July 2022 amending third-country equivalence rules for investment services

The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier issued Regulation No 22-04 on 20 July 2022 to amend its existing framework governing third-country equivalence. The amendment updates supervision and authorization requirements that allow designated third-country firms to provide investment services or perform ancillary activities within the European Union. By modifying Regulation No 20-02, the regulator aligns its supervisory standards with current expectations while maintaining the equivalence status of specified jurisdictions.
