The Central Bank of Brazil issued Circular No. 4017 to amend Section 8 of Chapter 6 of the Rural Credit Manual, establishing new parameters for calculating and charging financial costs due to deficiencies in agricultural credit resource directives. The regulation introduces a weighted average interest rate (Tjme) for prefixed operations and specifies that cooperative banks must calculate their rates based on aggregated data from analytical balance sheets. These changes, which revoke previous items 8, 13, and 14 of the manual, entered into force on July 1, 2020.
