The Bank of Portugal issued Circular Letter No. CC/2020/00000059 to instruct supervised credit institutions to comply with the reporting and disclosure obligations set out in the EBA Guidelines on reporting for supervisory purposes and disclosure requirements under the 'fast solution' of Regulation (EU) 2020/873. The directive mandates that these requirements be observed starting from the reference date of 30 September 2020, inclusive. This measure ensures adherence to prudential standards and information transparency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Summary Transmits to the credit institutions under its supervision the expectation that the reporting and disclosure obligations referred to in the 'Guidelines on reporting for supervisory purposes and disclosure requirements in line with the 'fast solution' of Regulation (EU) 2020/873 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 June 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic' (EBA/GL/2020/11) are complied with, observing the same, from the reference date of 30 September 2020 (inclusive).
