Circular No. 18 for the Year 2020
The Financial Regulatory Authority of Egypt issued Circular No. 18 of 2020 to extend registration and renewal deadlines for insurance and reinsurance brokers and trainees due to the coronavirus pandemic. The directive grants trainees whose training expires after December 20, 2020, until January 31, 2021, and brokers due for renewal in November and December 2020 until January 29, 2021, to complete their administrative procedures. To facilitate compliance, the Authority will also continue organizing training courses and conducting examinations remotely through its Financial Services Institute.

Granting Trainees and Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers an Additional Deadline to Complete Registration/Renewal Procedures
in the Register of Insurance or Reinsurance Brokers
In the context of completing the state's efforts to contain the spread of the (Coronavirus) pandemic, and in accordance with the decisions of
the Prime Minister to adopt certain precautionary measures to confront the (Coronavirus).
Given the continuation of the same emergency circumstances and situations, the management of the Financial Regulatory Authority has therefore decided to hold the training courses organized through the Authority's Financial Services Institute for trainees and insurance or reinsurance brokers, as well as to conduct examinations remotely, in addition to granting an
additional deadline as follows:

Granting trainees in insurance brokerage activities whose training period expires one year after the date of
20/12/2020 a deadline until 31/1/2021 to complete registration procedures with the Authority's registers. -
Granting insurance or reinsurance brokers registered in the Authority's registers whose registration renewal is due during
the months of November and December 2020 a deadline ending on 29/1/2021 to complete the registration renewal procedures.
