The Bank of Mozambique mandates that the National Single Network Operator must report, within five days of connection or terminal migration/installation, detailed information on credit institutions, financial companies, and payment service providers to the Bank. Monthly reports must be submitted by the fifth business day following each reporting month, including electronic copies to a designated email address. All interpretive or application queries regarding this Circular are directed to the Bank's Payment Systems Department, which takes immediate effect.

SUBJECT: Information Regarding the Connection of Credit Institutions, Financial Companies and Payment Service Providers, Migration and/or Installation of Electronic Payment Terminals (Automated Teller Machines/ATM and Point of Sale/Payment Terminals/POS) to the National Single Network.
In order to ensure compliance with the information duty imposed on the Operator of the National Single Network following the connection of credit institutions, financial companies and payment service providers, as well as the migration and/or installation of electronic payment terminals to said Network, pursuant to Article 5(2) of Notice No. 2/GBM/2015, dated April 22, the Bank of Mozambique determines:
The Operator of the National Single Network must, within five (5) days from the date of completion of the connection of each credit institution, financial company or payment service provider to the National Single Network, provide information thereof to the Bank of Mozambique which shall include, at a minimum, the following elements:
a) The name of the credit institution, financial company or payment service provider that has effected the connection, as well as the migration and/or installation of electronic payment terminals to the National Single Network; and
b) The number of electronic payment terminals migrated and/or installed to the National Single Network and their physical address, including Avenue or Street and number, where applicable, locality, town or city, district and province, as well as, in the case of Automated Teller Machines/ATM indicating whether they are located at or near a counter (on-site) or not (remote), and in the case of Point of Sale/Payment Terminals/POS also mentioning the business activity area of the contracting party (see Annexes 1 and 2).
The information referred to in this Circular must be submitted monthly until five (5) business days after the end of the month to which it relates, to the Payment Systems Department of the Bank of Mozambique, with an electronic format copy sent to SistemaPagamentos@bancomoc.mz.
Any questions arising from the interpretation and application of this Circular must be submitted to the Payment Systems Department of the Bank of Mozambique.
This Circular enters into force immediately.
