The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas approved the consolidation of Agribusiness Rural Bank, Inc., Banco Alabang, Inc., Rural Bank of Maddela, Inc., and Rural Bank of San Jacinto, Inc. into a new entity named Agribusiness Banking Corporation. The Monetary Board authorized this merger via Resolution No. 88 on January 23, 2025, following the new corporation's registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission in February 2025. The consolidated rural bank officially commenced operations on June 16, 2025, after receiving its Certificate of Authority to Operate on May 30, 2025.

(AGRIB), Banco Alabang, Inc. (A Rural Bank) (BAIRB), Rural Bank of Maddela (Quirino), Inc. (MDELA), and Rural Bank of San Jacinto (Masbate), Inc. (SJCNT), to form a new rural bank to be known as Agribusiness Banking Corporation – A Rural Bank doing business under the name and style of Agribank. The Agribusiness Banking Corporation – A Rural Bank doing business under the name and style of Agribank was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 14 February 2025. The corresponding Certificate of Authority to Operate as a Rural Bank was issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on 30 May 2025. The Bank started its operations on 16 June 2025.
