BRPD-2 Circular Letter No. 05: Submission of Interim Report to Bangladesh Bank
Bangladesh Bank’s BRPD-2 mandates all scheduled commercial banks to submit the first interim report of the Prudential Regulation for the year 2025, as directed under Section 6(2)(k) of the Bank-Company Act, 2024. This requirement aligns with updated supervisory guidelines issued via Circular Letter No. 03 dated 24 December 2025 to strengthen the banking sector’s regulatory framework. Banks must forward the complete Prudential Regulation documentation to BRPD-2 to facilitate the formulation of comprehensive regulatory guidelines.

Pursuant to Circular Letter No. 31 dated 09 July 2024, the first interim report is required to be submitted. 02. Under Section 6(2)(k) of the "Bank-Company Act, 2024", Bangladesh Bank has issued a directive to all scheduled commercial banks to submit the first interim report of the Prudential Regulation in accordance with the Prudential Regulation. 03. In order to strengthen the supervisory and regulatory framework of the banking sector, Bangladesh Bank has issued a comprehensive guideline for the submission of the Prudential Regulation by all scheduled commercial banks, which was updated via Circular Letter No. 03 dated 24 December 2025. 04. Accordingly, under point 02 of this circular, all scheduled commercial banks are directed to submit the first interim report of the Prudential Regulation for the year 2025, and to submit the complete Prudential Regulation to the BRPD-2 of Bangladesh Bank for the purpose of formulating a comprehensive guideline.
