Finansinspektionen amended its regulations to require that reference data for financial instruments under Articles 22.1 and 27.1 of Regulation (EU) No 600/2014 be submitted directly to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) rather than to the national regulator. The updated rules specify that this data must adhere to the format defined in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/585 and explicitly state that sections 3 and 4 of the original regulations do not apply when data is submitted to ESMA. These amendments entered into force on January 3, 2018, to align Swedish reporting obligations with EU market abuse and MiFID II requirements.
