Single Reserve Week from 06 June 2025 to 19 June 2025 and Guidelines on Reserve Position Computation
The Office of the Deputy Governor for Financial Supervision issued Memorandum M-2025-018 to establish a single reserve week from June 6 to June 19, 2025, due to the Eidul Adha and Independence Day holidays. The directive mandates that reserve positions computed on June 5 and June 11 be carried over to subsequent non-reserve days, effectively merging the two standard reserve weeks into one period. This consolidation specifically applies to the determination of abuse regarding the privilege of offsetting reserve deficiencies against excess reserves during the specified timeframe.

M-2025-___ To : ALL BANKS AND NON-BANKS WITH QUASI-BANKING FUNCTIONS In consideration of the holiday declarations on 06 June 2025 and 12 June 2025, we issue this Memorandum to provide guidance in computing the reserve requirement for reference weeks 06 June 2025 to 12 June 2025 and 13 June 2025 to 19 June 2025. Please be guided by the following:
- The following dates are proclaimed as regular holidays, thus considered as non-reserve days: Under Proclamation No. 911 dated 21 May 2025 • 06 June 2025, Friday – Eidul Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) Under Proclamation No. 727 dated 30 October 2024 • 12 June 2025, Thursday – Independence Day
- The reserve position as computed at the close of business of 05 June 2025, Thursday, shall be carried over up to 08 June 2025, Sunday;
- Similarly, the reserve position as computed at the close of business of 11 June 2025, Wednesday, shall be carried over to 12 June 2025, Thursday; and
- The reserve weeks 06 June 2025 to 12 June 2025 and 13 June 2025 to 19 June 2025 shall be considered as a single reserve week for the purpose of determining "abuse" of the privilege of offsetting reserve deficiencies against excess reserve during that reserve week.
