Supervisory provisions for the management of non-performing loans
The Bank of Italy issued supervisory provisions on February 11, 2025, to implement the new Chapter II, Title V of the Banking Act regarding the management of non-performing loans. These regulations entered into force the day after their publication in the Official Gazette and are accompanied by specific data collection instructions for NPL transfers. Additionally, the Bank organized workshops for operators seeking authorization as NPL managers, with related materials published in April 2025.
