The Presidents / Chief Executives All SBP Regulated Entities

Dear Sir/Madam

Transition to Virtual Private Network for SBP Hosted Portals

(Service Desk and RAS) Connectivity

As you are aware, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has digitized end-to-end process of receiving requests/ proposals from Regulated Entities (REs) and disseminating its regulatory decisions there-against through Regulatory Approval System (RAS). The SBP has also established a ‘Service Desk System’ – an end to end complaint management portal - to resolve complaints of Regulated Entities (REs) regarding SBP hosted portals, including RAS.

  1. To enhance the security of the above-mentioned SBP Hosted Portals (RAS and Service Desk), SBP has decided to transition from web-based access to Virtual Private Network (VPN)-based Access with effect from 30th May, 2025. In order to access these portals through VPN, REs will be required to procure Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Licenses.

  2. REs are advised to acquire required MFA accounts for seamless transition to VPN based access to RAS and Service Desk in a timely manner to ensure compliance with the above prescribed timeline. For technical assistance regarding procurement of MFA accounts and VPN setup, REs may contact the VPN Helpdesk via email at vpn.support@sbp.org.pk or call 021-32457223 and 021-32457215.

Please acknowledge receipt and bring this to the notice of all concerned.

Yours faithfully,

(Ghulam Muhammad) Director
