2020-06-26 | Carta Circular 4061The Head of the Circulating Media Department (Mecir) of the Central Bank of Brazil issues Circular Letter No. 4061 to amend the maximum remuneration percentage for custodian institutions. The regulation sets the maximum fee at 0.44% on confirmed withdrawal requests and on deposit and cash exchange requests executed within the authorized custodian network. This circular revokes Circular Letter No. 3,997 and becomes effective upon publication, with effects retroactive to July 6, 2020.
The Head of the Circulating Media Department (Mecir), using the powers conferred upon him by Article 23, item I, clause "a" of the Internal Regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil, annexed to Ordinance No. 84,287, of February 27, 2015, and considering the provisions of Article 2 of Circular No. 3,298, of November 1, 2005, whose main text was amended by Circular No. 3,358, of August 16, 2007,
R E S O L V E:
Art. 1 The maximum percentage of remuneration to be applied to each confirmed withdrawal request and to each deposit and cash exchange request executed in the network of branches of the custodian authorized to perform the custody service, valid for the entire national territory, shall be 0.44% (forty-four hundredths percent).
Art. 2 Circular Letter No. 3,997, of December 27, 2019, is hereby revoked.
Art. 3 This Circular Letter enters into force on the date of its publication, producing its effects from July 6, 2020.
