Public Notice – Extension on FIMA Subordinate Legislation Formal Consultation
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority has extended the public consultation deadline for FIMA subordinate legislation from 8 March to 31 March 2023. Responding to public requests, the notice establishes a firm cutoff date and explicitly states that no further extensions will be granted if stakeholders miss this revised deadline. Regulated entities must submit their formal comments on the proposed regulations before 31 March to ensure timely implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act.

EXTENTION ON FORMAL CONSULTATION ON SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION
OF THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA)
Reference is made to Public Notice dated 07 February 2023.
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs the
public impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, No. 2 of
2021, of the following.
Following requests received from the Public to extend the deadline of 08 March 2023, an
extension is hereby granted until 31 March 2023 to the Public, to submit the comments on
the formal consultation on the subordinate legislation.
Take further notice that no further extension shall be granted should the due date not be
adhered to.
