Notice on New Automobile Insurance Endorsement Q.E.F. No 48 for Remunerated Passenger Transportation by Automobile
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) issued this notice requiring operators of mobile app-based passenger transportation to hold liability insurance under the newly effective endorsement Q.E.F. No 48, which automatically covers drivers during remunerated trips. Effective October 22, 2020, this endorsement integrates into the operator's mandatory policy while ensuring drivers maintain personal liability coverage for non-remunerated periods. The AMF further advises all drivers and vehicle owners to notify their personal insurers of this activity to guarantee seamless protection across both commercial and private use.
