Operating Rules and Guidelines for Open Market Operations

The Bank of Zambia has issued new operating rules and guidelines for Open Market Operations to standardize and improve the efficiency of its monetary policy implementation. These guidelines establish clear operational procedures designed to enhance orderliness, timeliness, and transparency in market transactions. The regulations take effect immediately and instruct commercial banks to submit any operational queries to the central bank's Financial Markets Department.
