Removal of Transferred OTS Regulations Regarding Application Processing Procedures of State Savings Associations and Conforming Amendments to Other Regulations

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is rescinding subpart F of its regulations, which contained application processing procedures originally transferred from the Office of Thrift Supervision in 2011. The agency simultaneously amends sections of part 303 to explicitly apply existing filing requirements directly to State savings associations without relying on the removed provisions. This final rule eliminates duplicative regulatory language and establishes uniform filing standards, thereby promoting parity between State savings associations and State nonmember banks.
