The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia issued Circular No. 2020-15 to repeal Articles 2 and 4 of the March 2020 directive governing banking service pricing and continuity. The updated measures enter into force immediately upon publication, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential banking services while maintaining standardized fee structures. This directive exercises the Central Bank's statutory authority under Laws 2016-35 and 2016-48 to regulate banking conditions following the Compliance Control Committee's review.

Central Bank of Tunisia Circular No. 2020-15 of June 19, 2020 Subject: Measures regarding the pricing and continuity of certain banking services.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Having regard to Law No. 2016-35 of April 25, 2016 establishing the status of the Central Bank of Tunisia and in particular its Article 8, Having regard to Law No. 2016-48 of July 11, 2016 on banks and financial institutions and in particular its Article 84, Having regard to Central Bank of Tunisia Circular No. 91-22 of December 17, 1991 regulating banking conditions, as amended and supplemented by subsequent texts, Having regard to Central Bank of Tunisia Circular No. 2020-05 of March 19, 2020 on measures regarding the pricing and continuity of certain banking services, Having regard to the opinion of the Compliance Control Committee No. 2020-15 of June 18, 2020, Decides: Article 1 - The provisions of Articles 2 and 4 of Circular No. 2020-05 of March 19, 2020 on measures regarding the pricing and continuity of certain banking services are hereby repealed. Article 2 - This Circular shall enter into force as of the date of its publication.
