The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System issued final amendments to Regulation D to lower the interest rate on reserve balances (IORB) to 4.65 percent, effective November 8, 2024. This 0.25 percentage point decrease aligns with the Federal Open Market Committee's decision to reduce the federal funds rate target range to 4.5 to 4.75 percent. The Board also amended Regulation D to reflect the annual indexing of the reserve requirement exemption amount and the low reserve tranche for 2025.
