The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proposes to approve Reliability Standard EOP-010-1 to mitigate the effects of geomagnetic disturbances on the Bulk-Power System. This standard requires responsible entities to implement specific Operating Plans and Procedures in response to a directive from Order No. 779. Comments on this proposed rulemaking are due by March 24, 2014.
