The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing General License 5T, which authorizes certain transactions related to the Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or after February 3, 2026. This license supersedes General License No. 5S and permits financing and dealings in the specified bond that would otherwise be prohibited by the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations. The authorization excludes any transactions otherwise prohibited by the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations or other parts of 31 CFR chapter V.
