Regulation A: Extensions of Credit by Federal Reserve Banks

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System adopted final amendments to Regulation A to reflect an increase in the primary credit rate charged by Federal Reserve Banks. The primary credit rate was raised by 0.25 percentage points to 5.5 percent, while the secondary credit rate automatically increased to 6.0 percent based on the established formula. These changes align with the Federal Open Market Committee's decision to raise the target range for the Federal funds rate and are effective as of July 27, 2023.
