Charges against Dean Scook, former officer of Rock Mining Australia Limited, have been discontinued

The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions has discontinued eleven charges of stealing against Dean Scook, a former officer of Rock Mining Australia Limited. The decision was announced at the Perth District Court on 30 October 2025 following a review under the Commonwealth Prosecution Policy. The State determined not to proceed further with any of the charges against Mr Scook.

Charges against Dean Scook, former officer of Rock Mining Australia Limited, have been discontinued.

Mr Scook had been charged with eleven counts of stealing as an officer of a company.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth)(CDPP) filed a Notice of Discontinuance on 30 October 2025. The decision to discontinue the charges was announced at the Perth District Court, during Mr Scook’s appearance.

The CDPP stated ‘a review of this matter has been undertaken in accordance with the Prosecution Policy of the Commonwealth , and arising from that review the State has determined not to proceed further with any of the charges’.
