The Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposes amendments to the margin requirements for uncleared swaps applicable to swap dealers and major swap participants without a prudential regulator. The proposal introduces a three-year exemption from initial margin exchange for eligible seeded funds by redefining margin affiliates and expands eligible collateral by removing asset transfer restrictions on money market funds. Additionally, the Commission proposes a technical correction to add an inadvertently omitted footnote to the existing haircut schedule.
