00 Notice related to extension of Pilot project concerning remunerated passenger transportation services requested exclusively using a mobile application On September 30, 2016, the Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification (the “Minister of Transport”) authorized the Pilot project concerning remunerated passenger transportation services requested exclusively using a mobile application1 (the “Pilot project”), which ended on October 14, 2017. On September 29, 2017, the Minister of Transport published a new order2 that made certain amendments to the Pilot project and extended it by one year, until October 14, 2018. On October 12, 2018, the Minister of Transport published a new order3 , which extends the Pilot project by one year, until October 14, 2019, under the same conditions. Consequently, the Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) informs the industry that it is maintaining the conditions and restrictions that were imposed as of the coming into force of the Pilot project for the duration of the extension. The details regarding the scope of these conditions and restrictions, which are set out in an endorsement specific to the Pilot project, and the related AMF Notice were published on October 27, 2016, and can be consulted on the AMF website at www.lautorite.qc.ca under Professionals / Insurers / Regulations and obligations / Notices.
