Notice on Coming into Force of New Automobile Insurance Endorsement Q.E.F. No. 6-9 – Marine Risk Exclusion for Amphibious Vehicles
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has approved and brought into force a new automobile insurance endorsement, Q.E.F. No. 6-9, effective December 10, 2020. This endorsement permits insurers to attach a specific marine risk exclusion to policy Q.P.F. No. 6, thereby limiting coverage for amphibious vehicles. Insurers may utilize the standardized form immediately upon its publication on the AMF website, fulfilling industry requests under section 71 of the Insurers Act.
